RM Bridge Modeler Help

Elevation window

This window shows the elevation of the currently active axis and can be used for the input of the elevation definition. The window is opened using the S-H tool in the right vertical symbol column.

Zoom actions are supported by the corresponding functions in the left vertical  symbol column (lower part) or by using the appropriate rules .

The coordinate system for the elevation is defined by the horizontal axis S (station) and the vertical axis H (level) (GP: Z, RM: Y) .

SettingDescription
Point P0

Each definition of a elevation for the currently active axis starts with the definition of the point "P0". This point gets coordinates and a direction  corresponding with the first real axis element. If "P0" is selected again to a later moment a straight line is created. If this straight have a different direction than the previous element at its end, an additional point element handling the rotation will be inserted.

Line s

A straight line is connected to the previous element.  Either the station or station increment has to be entered.

Line s-h

A straight line is connected to the previous element. Either the station or the station increment and the absolute level has to be defined.

Circle s-r

The station (or station increment) and the radius define a new circle element.

Circle s-h

The station (or station increment) and the absolute level define a new circle element.

Parabola s-h

The station (or station increment) and the absolute level at the end of the parabola define a new parabola.

Undo

The current last element of the axis is deleted (can be repeated).

Parabola-tangents

The radius defines the rounding at the intersection point of two tangents.

Parabola-polygon

A Polygon, consistent of 3 lines, will be rounded by a parabola. The middle line has to be clicked.
